O&O Share New Version of ‘Leave It Til Tomorrow’ Feat Laura Oakes
Fast-rising country duo O&O have shared a stunning reimagined version of their hit single ‘Leave It Til Tomorrow’ featuring guest vocals from the remarkable British artist Laura Oakes who has one of the most beautiful voices within the genre and is one the UK’s brightest stars.
The original song was written by the duo alongside the Liverpool singer/songwriter before the enforced UK lockdown and is a majestic lyrical offering that tells the story of a couple working through the ups and downs of a relationship and how they always look to overcome any challenges.
Despite the restrictions put in place in order to slow the spread of the Coronavirus disease in the UK, O&O, and Laura Oakes found a way to work around social distancing rules and recorded remotely from their respective homes in order to create the collaboration.
Speaking about the track, O&O said: “[This is] “another one of our explorations into the intricacies of romantic relationships. For a while, the song was but an old-forgotten voice memo on Orian’s phone: a melody and lyric she hummed to herself in the shower. With the initial idea and a few chords at hand, we knew Laura was the perfect writer to help us realize the full potential of the song, which was completed in a few effortless hours spent in our living room over tea and cake.”
The blended vocals of Laura Oakes and O&O’s works beautifully and allows for the song to become a fully fleshed out offering that is a truly beautiful take on the often troublesome times relationships can suffer through. The collaboration is an outstanding piece of art and is a huge highlight of the 2020 musical calendar.
