Country/Americana duo The County Affair returned to music earlier in the year following years away from the industry where they focused on growing their families and finding stable jobs but now after 30 years they are back creating and ready to showcase what they have to offer the scene.

Their latest offering ‘Bourbon Breakfast’ sees childhood friends Kevin and Tony delivering yet another sonic blend that features an eclectic fusion of sounds from across the roots genre which allows them the opportunity to shine a light on their stellar musicianship and mature artistry.

Speaking about the song, The County Affair state: “BB was inspired by the two sides of the coin that is alcohol. I’ve written songs about the joys of a night in the pub, but this time [we] wanted to capture the other side of that, the darker side. Having seen many people struggle with alcohol, [we] wanted to paint the picture from their perspective, the overwhelming grip it can have and how suddenly life can start passing them by.”

It’s a dark and brooding offering from the country inspired duo and it’s one that perfectly showcases the depth and range their overall sound and lyrical style has.
