SINGLE REVIEW: Ward Thomas’ ‘Someday’

With just two weeks to go until their fourth studio album ‘Invitation’ drops (October 9th) British country music superstars, Ward Thomas have delivered yet another taste of what’s to come from the impressive tracklist this time in the form of the stunning ‘Someday’ which follows on from ‘Meant To Be Me’.

Penned by Catherine and Lizzy alongside Joe Hamel, and Rebekah Powell the track has a gorgeous strings arrangement that has been beautifully crafted by renowned producer Jonathan Quarmby who has worked across the whole album and is known for creating standout productions.

Lyrically focusing on a relationship that you’re not quite ready to take to the next level but are hopeful that, that somebody will wait for when you’re ready to dive in. It’s mature in its theme and gives Ward Thomas the chance to showcase their musical growth as they enter into their mid-twenties and discover a whole new wealth of inspiration.

Drenched in luscious strings ‘Someday’ has a stunning almost orchestral vibe to it whilst the lyrical story is steeped in classic country styles as the twins deliver yet another hugely impressive crossover offering that shines a light on their soaring sibling vocal harmonies and incredibly impressive songwriting skills.

Ward Thomas are without a doubt two of the most talented musicians Britain has ever created and with this latest release, they take a major step towards a new musical era that allows them to create a fusion of sonic stylistics as they continue on the path to global stardom and cement their status as the leading duo in country music.
