The Shires Postpone Tour to 2021
British country music duo The Shires have formally announced that their forthcoming tour dates in support of their hit album ‘Good Years’ which dropped earlier this year have been postponed once again. The run of dates were originally penciled in for the Spring of this year but were pushed back to November and December as the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic intensified and shut down the live music industry.
And now despite some easing of lockdown restrictions in regards to performing live, the industry is still being majorly held back due to social distancing rules and ban on mass gatherings so the duo consisting of Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes have confirmed that their tour which will see Eric Paslay supporting will now be taking place in 2021.
Confirming the news, The Shires said: “It’s with very heavy hearts that we’ve had to postpone our tour yet again
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, our 2020 tour has had to be postponed for a second time. We are absolutely gutted that we’re unable to perform for you in 2020 but very grateful to have been able to reschedule next year in April and May 2021. All tickets remain valid, so please keep hold of them! For now, please stay safe and keep listening and learning the lyrics to our songs so that when we are reunited we can sing and dance like crazy!”
The run of dates which will now take place throughout April and May next year will see them performing tracks off their massive mainstream hit LP ‘Good Years’ along with songs off their previous records which have all broke records and made them into one of the most successful British country acts of all time.
Always an impressive live act, the upcoming tour will no doubt be their best yet as they take to the stage for the first time in over a year, so the event promises to be a huge party for everyone in attendance as they belt out their biggest hits and no doubt preview some new tracks that they’ve created whilst in quarantine.
