The Shires Share ‘Crazy Days’ Video

Originally penned by Ben Earle as a message of hope and a promise to his wife Vicky that his constant touring days will one day be behind him and they will settle down into an idyllic quiet life, ‘Crazy Days’ from The Shires has taken on a whole new meaning during lockdown and is now the backdrop for many people’s story during this season.

Quarantine and isolation for many meant being unable to see family and loved ones for a prolonged time and this poignant song is the perfect lyrical reminder that these days will soon be over and we will look back on all the things we learned about ourselves and each other and will no doubt remember them as the “crazy days” in years to come.

It’s a gorgeous ballad that offers a message of faith that we will come out the other end of this stronger for the experience we have faced as a society and now The Shires have shared the gorgeous visual for their newest single which brings the song to life perfectly. Featuring home clips from Crissie Rhodes, and Ben they give a glimpse into what lockdown life has been like for them.

The clip delivers a beautiful stripped back simplistic visual that showcases the strength of the lyrical story running through and elevates the emotive ballad to new heights as it showcases the effect of quarantine and the silver lining of 2020; more time with loved ones as we head into the next phase with restrictions easing.

With our lives now slowly returning to “normal” following the full three-month enforced lockdown, The Shires’ video for ‘Crazy Days’ reminds us that there was a beautiful part of quarantine which meant we all got the chance to slow down and reflect while enjoying time with loved ones which we often don’t get to appreciate in our busy day-to-day lives.
