The Shires Share ‘On The Day I Die’ Video Featuring Jimmie Allen

Fresh from sharing the audio for their stunning new single ‘On The Day I Die’ featuring US country music superstar Jimmie Allen, British crossover record-makers The Shires have now shared the official music video for the standout track that has been given a makeover with this duet version.

The original features on the award-winning pair’s latest album ‘Good Years’ which released early last year, and with this new rendition, they enlist the help of Allen who lends his impressive vocal to the latest cut making for a wonderful offering that has the potential to become a global chart hit.

Whilst the music video sees clips from Crissie Rhodes, Ben Earle, and Jimmie Allen being spliced together to create a gorgeous visual that saw the English duo filming their parts at St Marks Paternoster Royal and Jimmie’s bits were shot in America as international travel is still banned in line with ongoing Coronavirus rules.

It’s a truly remarkable music video that takes the viewer through the relationship of childhood sweethearts, right up to an adult relationship that is overlayed with edits of The Shires, and Jimmie Allen performing their duet creating a dynamic clip that perfectly brings the song’s lyrical story to life.

This is an excellent release from one of the UK’s leading lights within the country music scene and by teaming up with such a huge American star they have given themselves a massive platform to showcase their music to their growing US fanbase meaning they have the opportunity to become international superstars.
