The Wandering Hearts Releases New Single ‘Dolores’

As the promo campaign continues for their forthcoming self-titled sophomore album which drops this coming July, country-Americana trio The Wandering Hearts have today (Friday, April 23rd) shared yet another fantastic single off the upcoming tracklist this time in the form of ‘Dolores’.

The stellar release sees the group delivering a stunning acoustic lament during which their gorgeous three-part harmonies deliver a strong and timely message that no one needs to or should ever suffer through their struggles alone – a reminder that most people will need right now.

The Wandering Hearts are wonderful activists for mental health and this latest offering is a strong reminder that they are there with open hearts for each other and their fanbase – anyone who is struggling right now will find hope and solace in these heartfelt lyrics scattered throughout ‘Dolores’.

The empowering lyrical story about trauma, and struggling with mental health was inspired by an article 1/3 of The Wandering Hearts Chess Whiffin had read which was about the late Dolores O’Riordan in Rolling Stone magazine whilst en route to a writing session in London, and her bandmates instantly connected.

Speaking about lyrical inspiration, Tara Wilcox states: “We were going through a lot and it was so good that we had each other. My mum would always say, ‘Everyone’s fighting a battle you know nothing about.’” That simple yet compelling adage inspired the song’s central lyric”.
