Tim Prottey-Jones Shares ‘Bite The Bullet’ Video
Back at the end of November, British country music performer and former The Wandering Hearts band member Tim Prottey-Jones wowed with the release of his bittersweet debut single ‘Bite The Bullet’ which allowed him to kick-off his solo career in incredible style with a truly brilliant track.
The song is a mellow soft rock crossover with a poignant lyrical story of feeling alone whilst still in a relationship and it’s that foundation of isolation and loneliness that allows for Tim to showcase his stellar vocal control and deliver a divine crossover soundscape that perfectly compliments the songs lyrics.
And now several weeks on from the single’s release, Tim Prottey-Jones has shared the official music video which is a stunning piece of filmography that builds on the atmospheric, image evoking heartbreak laced throughout the words of ‘Bite The Bullet’ thanks to the incredibly framed film work.
Shot in lockdown, restrictions meant that Tim was limited in terms of having actors on set so instead decided on a solo performance clip shot on location at Victorian swimming baths that gives an overall eerie vibe to the shoot and delivers an extra dimension to the message of the track.
Speaking about the video and its inspiration, Tim Prottey-Jones says: “The song and the video were all recorded and produced in lockdown and so it was only ever going to be a solo video because of all the restrictions we had to stick to so no other musicians or actors. So I really wanted a performance video in an amazing location and this place was perfect. The feel of the song is quite dark and there’s a feeling of isolation and feeling alone even though you’re in a relationship. I just thought having a singular person in such an immense and wide space such as an empty Victorian swimming baths was perfect for that and even the feeling of feeling underwater and drowning. It seemed to fit that perfectly and I worked with a company called Bullet Media. Bullet Media and I have known each other for a long time and they’re massive fans of country music and were very aware of everything I’ve done before this which was great and this just felt like the ideal opportunity to work together properly on a project”.
