Twinnie’s ‘This Year Sucks’ Gets First Radio Play
British country-pop sensation Twinnie has had a truly fantastic September so far having shared a teaser for new track ‘Karen’ across TikTok, a stunning acoustic version of ‘Feeling Of Falling’, and the most relatable track of 2020 in the form of ‘This Year Sucks’. This month will also see her releasing the official music video for the original rendition of ‘Feeling Of Falling’ on the 22nd.
And as we venture farther into Autumn, the York performer has now gained some radio play for her latest offering ‘This Year Sucks’ which has been given airplay across Country Hits UK by Matt Spracklen before the song has been officially released as a single by the BMG recording artist.
The anthemic crossover track was premiered by Twinnie two weeks ago across social media with the singer/songwriter also sharing a fun, feel-good visual which was filmed by Naomi Kane and encompasses everything we have been through throughout the year so far with the uptempo anthem bringing a little light fun to the current situation.
‘This Year Sucks’ has been co-written by Twinnie, alongside Summer Overstreet, and delivers a lighter look at what we’re going through in these trying times as we continue to navigate through this pandemic together whilst Twinnie also weaves more thought-provoking lyrical insights throughout too.
For its radio premiere, the song was cleaned up with the swear words replaced in order to make it family-friendly although the explicit version will always remain the favorite for many listeners as it certainly feels far more cathartic to sing-a-long to during the year that truly has sucked.
