Tyler Michael Releases Debut Single ‘The Worst’
Hailing from Antrim, Northern Ireland, Tyler Michael is a fast-rising alt-country talent who is beginning to showcase his talents to the wider world following on from the release of his breakout debut single titled ‘The Worst’ which he shared across streaming platforms this past Friday.
The track has garnered some fantastic support and attention from industry insiders and fans alike and in less than 24 hours after its official release, the song rocketed to number 1 on the official iTunes Country Chart signalling the start of what promises to be a very successful music career for the performer.
His soundscape is a hybrid fusion of classic country, Americana, soulful folk, and old-school blues which collide to create a sonic style that is uniquely Tyler Michael – it’s bold, eclectic and a true testament to his natural ability and artistry to be able to bring so many influences together.
With ‘The Worst’, the esteemed live performer kick starts his recording career on the back of a standout career playing live on the circuit across the country and he has certainly begun this chapter in an epic way with the track already capturing the attention of listeners in Ireland and beyond.
Speaking about the song, Tyler says: “The Worst was written in 2019 on an acoustic guitar, when I was living in a dusty outback town in Queensland, Australia working in a bar and driving a truck to make ends meet. With an Alt-Country/Rock n Roll feel to the song, I took influences from my surroundings at the time”.
