Vic Allen Announces New Single ‘Healing’

Fast-rising British country-pop performer Vic Allen has had quite the year so far having played at Country 2 Country Music Week Digital as part of Song Suffragettes back in October and also being featured in the July/August edition of Maverick Magazine as their ‘One to Watch’ artist.

And as her star continues to rise, Allen is ready to wow again this time with the release of her brand new single ‘Healing’ which drops on Friday, November 20th, and will see her delivering another standout crossover release which will push her further onto the mainstream market.

This song already began to take shape back last year however due to the ongoing global pandemic Vic Allen was forced to think of new ways to record as multiple studio sessions were cancelled whilst lockdown also saw her moving from London back home to Norwich so much of the track was finalised via Zoom.

The forthcoming release follows on from the success of her hit single ‘I Can’ which released back in June with the song becoming one of her most relatable offerings yet which led to many new fans finding her music thanks to the stellar lyrical content and brilliant production backdrop.

Speaking about her forthcoming single, Vic Allen says: “I actually started recording Healing last year with Kaity Rae. I added some final touches with Sue McMillan earlier this year, but lockdown hit before we finished, so we managed to finalise everything via Zoom. This song is about getting through a long period of sadness or suffering and realising you’re finally starting to feel like your old self again. I wrote it after a close friend had been through a break up that took a while to recover from. I took inspiration from both her story and emotions and struggles I’ve personally gone through in the past.”
