LIVE REVIEW: Tenille Townes @ St Pancras New Church London
There aren’t many opportunities for seeing one of Canada’s most exciting country music exports live in the hallowed halls of a real working church in the heart of London, England but last night (August 29) 300 fans got that opportunity when Tenille Townes brought her Train Tracks tour the city for one night.
This is an exciting tour for the impressive singer/songwriter who has frequented the UK for the last few years, usually with a full band, however, this time she is doing things a little differently and it is just her with a guitar standing on those stages and the result is nothing short of mesmerising.
Tenille Townes has one of the most distinct voices in the music world, and the way she pours her heart into every song is simply stunning. She knows how to tell a story and take the listener along for the journey and last night she had the sold-out crowd hanging on every word and note.

Full band shows are always a lot of fun, and certainly memorable but the way Tenille was able to hold her own and create an atmosphere that had a special kind of energy simply by standing in the spotlight alone with just a simple acoustic guitar and her stunning vocals created something truly enchanting.
There’s no denying the talent Tenille Townes possesses as a musician and she showcased that in abundance at the St Pancras New Church where the crowd left the building in total awe of her outstanding vocal control, warm stage presence, and heartfelt and uplifting lyricism that is that core of her songs.
