Twinnie Releases New Single ‘Just Like Earle’
It’s said that Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and Twinnie is living up to that statement with the savage new single ‘Just Like Earle’ which has her fantasising about cutting her ex out of her life.. for good! But luckily for her, murder is legal in a song and this is one crime she can commit freely.
Twinnie has always been a bold and creative songwriter, and this track which takes inspiration from The Chicks’ ‘Goodbye Earle’, and SZA’s ‘Kill Bill’, sees her weaving her magic as she creates the ultimate revenge song that will have all those scorned lovers singing along and creating their own endings.
It’s her self-proclaimed “psycho song and ‘Just Like Earle’ definitely plays on that but at its core, it’s truly a fantastic country track that feels like we’ve been transported back to the 90s when female artists were dominating the charts and radio airwaves, but it also has a modern pop feel too making it a smash-hit.
Speaking about the release, Twinnie says: “The only place murder is legal is in a song. This EP is about all the different stages of grief we go through after a breakup. I wanted some light, humourous relief to the sad girl era I’ve been in. I took inspiration from The Chicks’ ‘Goodbye Earl’ and I think of this as part 2 of that song”.
This is the fourth instalment of the ‘Blue Hour (After Dark)’ EP which releases on October 20th, and follows on from the heartbreaking ballad ‘The Way I Loved You’, the powerful ‘Bad Man’, and empowering ‘Sad Boy’ offering listeners yet another glimpse of the eclectic soundtrack that is arriving shortly.
