Dolly Parton Releases New Single ‘Mary Did You Know?’

Country music legend Dolly Parton is currently building up to the release of her brand new holiday album ‘A Holly Dolly Christmas’ which drops on Friday, October 2nd, and is set to be the ultimate collection of Christmas classics with the tracklist featuring a hugely impressive list of collaborations.

And as the promo trail for the forthcoming record continues, Dolly Parton has released a brand new rendition of the classic ‘Mary Did You Know?’ which is acting as the lead single off the project with Parton delivering a stunning country-infused offering of the festive favourite which shines a light on her timeless vocal.

The track has been shared via Butterfly Records in partnership with 12Tone Music and keeps in step with Dolly Parton’s previous faith-based offerings which allow for the singer/songwriter to be open about her belief in Jesus as she continues sharing music that truly means something to her.

Speaking about her newest Christmas single, Dolly Parton says: “‘Mary, Did You Know?’ is one of the greatest, sweetest, well-written songs that I’ve ever had the chance to sing on. When I was recording it, I got very emotional. It is to me what Christmas is about and I’m proud to be able to sing it for my upcoming album.”
