Laura Evans Announces New Single ‘Take Me Back Home’

Back in July of last year, on-the-rise Welsh country/blues music talent Laura Evans released her stunning EP ‘Running Back To You’ which became one of the biggest blues crossover records of the year both in the UK and the US allowing for Evans to grow her international fanbase even further.

And as the record continues to build momentum across global charts, and worldwide radio playlists Laura has now announced the release date (March 5th) for her brand new single titled ‘Take Me Back Home’ which will be the the fourth track to be officially lifted off the impressive tracklist,

The beautifully crafted offering has been co-written by Laura Evans alongside Tim Lee Jones, and Leroy Powell with the trio of songwriters coming together to add a gorgeous dash of Nashville stylistics into her natural homegrown country/blues crossover soundscape.

Speaking about the song, Laura says: “I was so excited to write with Tim” Laura says, “He had written one of my favorite songs by Shelly Fairchild called ‘Mississippi Turnpike’ so when we all got in a room together, we started talking about my hometown and where I grew up. We laughed as I explained I’m from a very very small town in the South Wales valleys called ‘Aberdare’ talked about what it was like growing up there and then a few hours later the song was written! It was very important that the song had a country soulful feel about it and lyrics people could relate to, I’m so excited to incorporate my welsh roots into a country song. I hope people will connect with it.”

It’s wonderful to hear an artist hailing from Wales talking about her strong Welsh roots and the small valley town she grew up in and Laura Evans does a wonderful job of crafting gorgeous imagery of her background and ties to South Wales, UK with ‘Take Me Back Home’.
