Emily Lockett Announces New Single ‘Do You Wanna Go Out?’
Following on from the physical release of her stellar EP ‘Paint The Town Red’ at the end of last year, on-the-rise country-pop sensation Emily Lockett has formally announced details of her brand new single ‘Do You Wanna Go Out?’ which drops across all digital platforms on March 12th.
It’s an exciting time in the world of Emily and this newest release feels like the start of something truly special for the singer/songwriter who has ingrained herself within the British country market and become one of the most loved voices thanks to her stellar tone, and standout songwriting talent.
And this coming Friday she will kick-start what is set to be an impressive new musical chapter with the release of ‘Do You Wanna Go Out?’ which once again incorporates her natural roots soundscape with a fresh pop style making for an eclectic genre blend that stands out from the current crops of tracks being shared.
Speaking about her latest offering, Emily Lockett says: “Do You Wanna Go Out? is the third single from my new EP called “Paint The Town Red” which is available now as an exclusive CD only purchase via my website. Ironically this song was created in the midst of the 2020 lockdown when most listeners could only long of going out “on the town”. The lyric from this track inspired the EP’s eventual title. The song’s story is about meeting someone in a bar and taking them away for one amazing night out with no strings attached”.
It’s a feel-good anthem that will no doubt get people in the party mood and will be played at many people’s homes before a night out (when such is permitted by government guidance) and it’ll definitely go on to be a staple at the coming festivals for Lockett as she pushes her sonic boundaries.
