For King & Country’s ‘God Only Knows’ Featuring Dolly Parton Added To Radio 2 B List

Four-time Grammy award-winning duo For King & Country have this week confirmed that their latest hit single ‘God Only Knows’ which features guest vocals from country music icon Dolly Parton is now officially a UK single and it has quickly been added to the BBC Radio 2 B List making it a sure-fire hit in Britain.

The impressive track is already a firm fan favorite in the United States and has been readily supported by radio over there but now that it is getting its chance on British airwaves it is expected to soar up the UK country music charts thanks to the extra exposure across the UK market.

It’s an excellent collaboration from the multi-platinum selling For King & Country and the added addition of Dolly Parton’s striking and unique vocal elevates the whole thing to the next level making it one of the very best collaborations to be released in recent country music history.

Speaking about working with Dolly on the song, Joel Smallbone says: “Hearing Dolly sing that chorus and those words was an out of body experience for us as writers and artists. As soon as we heard her vocals on the track, we immediately realized that this song was meant for her voice.”

Whilst Parton adds: “When I first heard ‘God Only Knows’ I thought it was one of the best songs I’d ever heard. I came from a very spiritual background, and I love anything to do with inspirational songs that lift people up. I feel that this is a good song for right now, and it’s so well written. I know that it touched me at a time when I needed to be lifted up.”
