Shania Twain Teases New Album Details

Back in September 2017, global country music icon Shania Twain made a triumphant return with the release of her fifth studio album ‘Now’ following a 15-year hiatus due to health issues relating to her Lymes disease diagnosis that led to a range of voice and vocal problems which halted her singing career.

But after plenty of support from medical professionals, vocal coaches, surgery, and lots of therapy on her throat, Twain was able to return to the profession she loves so dearly and craft an incredible self-written, autobiographical body of work that showed the world she is still one of the very best country artists around.

Following on from that record four years ago, Shania Twain has spent that time touring the world in support of the LP, songwriting, spending time with loved ones in her home of Switzerland, and also performing live in Vegas for her newest Las Vegas residency which will start back up later this year following its postponement due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

And despite not being able to play live this past twelve months, Shania has not stopped writing and recording and confirmed via her Apple Music radio show Home Now that she is currently putting the finishing touches to her sixth studio album with hopes of releasing it at the end of the year.

Speaking whilst hosting the show, Twain stated: “When is my new album coming out? It’s so difficult to say that an album is finished and ready. I’m not procrastinating but I do admit that COVID has created some timing issues because it’s been very difficult to get together with producers and musicians in the same room. I want to give you guys something that you can be really proud of as a Shania fan. I want you to celebrate with me, and I’m definitely on a mission to make the best album I’ve ever made. So please be patient. I want it to be worth waiting for. I do plan on releasing this album before Christmas. Wouldn’t it be super to have this out for Christmas? I would love that so much. So that is my goal”.
