Eleri Angharad Announces New EP ‘Nightclub Floor’
On-the-rise Welsh country music talent Eleri Angharad has been enjoying some major success this past year and a half, having used the time in lockdown to utilise and build her streaming reach and share several new singles including the standout ‘New Sin’, and brilliant ‘Delete It’ alongside ‘Blank Walls’.
Those three tracks showcase multiple sides to Eleri’s maturing sound and gave her the opportunity to shine a light on the many genre inspirations that make up her own country crossover soundscape, and with each offering racking up the listeners across multiple digital platforms, her global reach has grown tenfold.
And with her star continuing to rise, Eleri Angharad has this week formally announced the exciting details of her brand new EP titled ‘Nightclub Floor’ which will be dropping across all platforms from Friday, August 13th with the collection bringing together her three previous offerings, one brand new song; ‘Nightclub Floor’, and an acoustic version of ‘New Sin’.
Speaking about the record, Eleri says: “I first started writing these songs back in 2019, just writing for the fun of it after touring my debut album and I just wanted to see what came out. As I kept writing, I noticed these four songs told the story of a sad night out There’s the girl starting a steamy love affair, the girl in the queue for the bathroom full of anxiety over what to text him back, The girl drunk on wine who just wants to be loved and the girl sitting on the edge of the sticky Nightclub Floor trying to call her best friend from uni. It’s been fun to explore a sound different to that of Earthbound, being able to collaborate and write more pop-inspired music.”
Her excellent fusion sound allows her to expertly straddle both the mainstream pop worlds and the growing, yet still, niche country style with an ease that tells you that she has found her place in the market and is ready to explore her sonic stylistic with new music that sets a marker for what’s to come.
