Lauren Davidson Announces New Single ‘I Don’t Need Your Reason’
On-the-rise US-based urban/country performer Lauren Davidson has formally announced the details of her hotly anticipated new single titled ‘I Don’t Need Your Reason’ and fans will be able to wrap their ears around the track from Friday, October 22nd when it drops across all leading digital platforms.
The latest offering from Davidson is the sixth single to be officially lifted off of her upcoming EP ‘Hindsight Is 2020’ which is slated for global release on November 19th with the tracklist bringing together lyrical stories of what the singer/songwriter has felt like during this past year during the turbulence of lockdowns.
Other songs featured on the new project include previous hit singles “Live In The Light,” “Backfire,” “Thinking About You,” “Silver Linings” and “A Little Love” all of which deliver small snapshots into Lauren Davidson’s mindset this past twelve months and a glimpse into how she lived through the year.
Speaking about ‘I Don’t Need Your Reason’ Lauren says: “I’ll never forget the day I wrote this song with Tommy Cole. It was the first time we had seen each other face to face since the pandemic had hit and we were playing catch up. I had recently gone through a breakup and he was asking me a bunch of questions as I cut him off and said – I don’t need a reason. He stopped in his tracks and said we’re going to write that right now and we did. I’m definitely someone who likes closure in every scenario and we don’t always get that – actually we rarely often do and I got to process that through writing this song that day. Music truly does heal.”
It is yet another eclectic release from the performer who has a unique blended sound of soulful country and standout urban styles and with this latest release she has once again demonstrated a fantastic talent for crafting songs that instantly connect and tell a story from start to finish.
