Ashley Cooke Releases New Single ‘Good Goodbye’ Featuring Jimmie Allen

On-the-rise performer Ashley Cooke has officially announced the details of her forthcoming and eagerly awaited debut EP ‘Already Drank That Beer’ with the record dropping on 27th August, and in celebration of that soundtrack she has released the lead single ‘Good Goodybe’ featuring Jimmie Allen.

It’s an excellent offering from the pair as they showcase their gorgeous solo voices before blending together for an outstanding harmony that drives the overall sonic backdrop home and allows for the lyrical story to take centre stage and spearhead the song whilst never distracting away from their vocal talents.

The theme of the track is all about two lovers trying to detangle themselves from a failing relationship that is coming to an end and all the mixed-up feelings that come with that knowledge that it is over but at the same time, you’re desperately trying to salvage what’s left of the love you once had.

To craft the instant hit, Ashley Cooke teamed up with renowned songwriter Blake Pendergrass with the two writers coming together to create a solid story arc that carries through the whole production whilst the added addition of guest vocals from Jimmie Allen elevates the whole song to the next level.

Speaking about the release, Ashley says: “We originally recorded ‘Good Goodbye’ as an individual song with just my voice on it, but something felt missing to give the song the depth it deserves. I knew Jimmie would be the perfect addition and I’m just honored to get to collaborate with such an unbelievably talented artist. His tone, harmonies, riffs, storytelling, etc. adds so much to the song and I’m so proud to be releasing this with him.”
