On-the-rise British country-influenced singer/songwriter Ben Selleck returns on Friday, August 20th with his brand new single titled ‘Soul Food’ with the track being made available to stream and download across all leading platforms allowing him to reach a wide and varied listenership around the globe.

The newest offering from the UK based performer comes on the back of his breakout debut single ‘Different Sides’ – that inaugural offering gave him the opportunity to demonstrate his artistry and showcase that he is ready to make his mark within the scene, here in Britain, and internationally too.

And now he is set to further make his mark on the industry with the release of ‘Soul Food’ later this month with the song expected to further put the spotlight on his intricate songwriting style, and unique vocal tone and allow him to build on the solid foundation of success he has so far put in place.

His latest release is also another step toward becoming one of the leading voices within the country music market whilst the sonic stylistic shows he isn’t afraid to take risks as he puts a fantastic gospel spin throughout the production overlay creating a striking soundscape that gives the song a chance for true global appeal.

Speaking about the forthcoming release, Ben Selleck says: “I have had so much fun recording this track. It wasn’t until Lockdown eased and I finally got to meet up with band members when the idea to create a more New Orleans vibe was discussed. So a remotely recorded Gospel Choir (Natalie Jenkin-Smith of Total ’80s, Tony Perry of ChangesTwoBowie, Austin Barber of the Essex Blues Brothers, Country artist Tara Henton providing ad-libs and Scarlet River Managements own Rachel Sellick) and a Horn part (written and performed by Paul Beddow of Faux Fighters UK) was added to great effect. Not to mention the fantastic talents of Adam Wright on guitar, Jacob Sludden on drums, and once again Paul Beddow on Bass. I’m so indebted to these musicians for giving me their time and creating something that I’m really proud of in this single”.
