Ashley Monroe Releases New Album ‘Rosegold’

1/3 of the country group Pistol Annies, powerful singer/songwriter Ashley Monroe has shared her incredible new solo studio album ‘Rosegold’ which is a joy-filled dream-like collection that shines a light on the multi-faceted artistry the Grammy-nominated performer possesses.

Trading in her trademark sad-song persona for a comforting lyrical vibe this stunning collection also sees Monroe breaking away from the mainstream country sound into genre crossover styles that break away from any specific musical style making for a shapeshifting standalone collection.

Not afraid to be bold with her sonic sound, Ashley Monroe has proven with this album that she is able to break out from a specific box and create great songs that don’t really market themselves to any one genre, instead they bend into a myriad of music styles which allows for the project to reach so many listeners around the world.

The 10-track record is centered in carefree happiness and takes influences from the likes of the Beach Boys, Beck, Kanye West, and The Eagles which creates a dynamic, and fresh soundscape that is totally unique to what’s being made by country artists at this moment in time.

Speaking about the LP to the Tennessean, Ashley Monroe said: “I haven’t felt this kind of innocence and love since I was a little girl. I wanted to freeze that with music and make other people feel that because we could sure use it. I wanted to hyper-focus on that feeling and amplify it and harmonize with it.”
