Becky Lawrence Announces New Single ‘Maple State’
Rising British country music talent Becky Lawrence has formally announced details of her brand new single ‘Maple State’ which is a track that pays tribute to the beautiful country of Canada with the song being shared on Canadian Thanksgiving which will be celebrated on Monday, October 12th.
The song has been inspired by Becky’s time in Calgary, Canada where she fell in love with the nation and its people and is a place that instantly felt like a second home the Brit as she now frequents the city and with this song she has paid a gorgeous tribute to the breathtaking lakes, and mountains.
It was that landscape that captured Becky’s heart and through the lyrical story, she demonstrates her gratitude for the opportunity to experience what Canada has to offer its residents and visitors, and ‘Maple State’ is a truly divine offering that allows Lawrence to showcase her vocal prowess.
Speaking about the track, Becky Lawrence says: โCanada is the only place in the world, other than the Isle of Man, where I feel at home. I have always felt a natural affinity with Canada and was ecstatic to finally have the opportunity to visit and take in the breathtaking, cinematic scenery. Weโve chosen to release on Canadian Thanksgiving, because this song is filled with thanks for the experiences I enjoyed, and memories I made when in Canada. Years later, I still vividly remember the emotions I felt during my time there; one thing that has particularly stuck with me is the smell of the pine trees, which is just unreal. For those who donโt know, I am a #GratefulGang leader, and practice the art of the attitude of gratitude every day.โ
Whilst the songs co-writer Hugh Webber added of the lyrical story and writing experience: , โIt was a real pleasure writing this song with Becky. I’ve not been to Canada but by the end of writing, I wanted to go and experience everything in the song myself. I hope it will have the same impression on the listener.โ
