The Highway Women Announce New Single ‘The Highway’
All-female fronted four-piece country band The Highway Women are back on Friday, October with their brand new single ‘The Highway’ which will additionally act as the theme-song their newly launched Be A Highway Woman program that looks to inspire, support, and uplift women across the world.
The track enforces the rising group’s message of female independence with the powerful lyrics telling a coming of age story of a girl as she flys out into the world and heads out on the open road in order to create her own happy ending. And the inspiring message is underpinned by a stellar country-rock riff that is overlayed by soaring vocal harmonies.
The Highway Women are all about supporting other women in the industry and beyond and with their newest single they bring their passion for their belief that all females need to stand side by side across all sectors with the standout lyrical story evoking gorgeous imagery of a girl finding her feet in this world.
The female empowerment anthem has been created by The Highway Women alongside musicians and Be A Highway Woman members Abby Reign, Brooke Barry, Lola Menthol, and Bonnie Dymond with sales of the track going towards funding a scholarship for a high school senior who is pursuing a career in music, which will be awarded by the program in 2021.
With ‘The Highway’, the four-piece harmony-driven country act have delivered a truly inspiring song that will stand the test of time and when it drops on October 30th it will no doubt motivate girls, and women everywhere to find strength in who they are and what they can achieve.
