Brittany McLamb Shares ‘Wanted -Acoustic’ Video
Fresh from releasing her stunning new single ‘Wanted’ earlier in the summer, fast-rising Nashville based country music performer Brittany McLamb has shared a gorgeous new version of the track along with a brilliant visual that has been filmed virtually alongside session musicians.
The clip and acoustic audio were both recorded at home by McLamb in order to adhere to current Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines in Tennessee and was recorded using the Aston Stealth Microphone with Aidan Thompson providing the luscious mix and production while Mark Lonsway provided backing vocals and Lawrence Giles accompanied on the Cajon.
The result of the three multi-talented performers coming together in order to create this stripped-back remaking of the ‘Wanted’ single is nothing short of phenomenal as they share one of the best made at home video recordings you’re likely to have seen this year during lockdown.
Speaking about the new ‘Wanted’ version, Brittany McLamb says: “Ever since Andrew Beason, Jonathan Dean and I wrote “Wanted” I knew I wanted to record an acoustic version. I have always loved acoustic performances because they tend to show off the heart and soul of a song, as well as, a song’s rawness without all the glitz and glamour of a full production track. I was lucky enough to have my wonderful producer/musician boyfriend, Aidan Thompson, to produce/mix the track, put together the video, and play acoustic guitar for this project! He also brought his friend and tour mate, Lawrence Giles on board to play Cajon. It is my opinion that you can never forget to include harmonies on anything ever! So, I asked my long time Nashville friend and musician, Mark Lonsway, to lend his golden pipes on background vocals. One of the positives that has come from the COVID lockdown is being able to collaborate musically no matter where we are! Aidan and Lawrence are in England and Mark and I are in Nashville and we came together to create this acoustic version of my latest single “Wanted” that I am super proud of! I hope everyone enjoys it!”
And the new rendition truly brings together the UK and Nashville country sonic stylistics in a gorgeous way with the stripped-back delivering a truly outstanding new and updated offering that allows for Brittany McLamb’s vocals to truly shine as they take centre stage without the overlay of a full production.
