Charlotte Young Announces New Single ‘Praying For Rain’
Fast-rising British country music performer Charlotte Young is back with her brand new single ‘Praying For Rain’ on November 20th which follows on from her hugely successful breakout debut single ‘Whiplash’, and inaugural EP ‘Blown Away’ both of which topped the UK’s Country iTunes Chart alongside the European Academy of Country Music Chart setting a marker for future success.
And with the foundation of those previous offerings, Young is looking to continue building to worldwide chart triumph with the release of the stellar ‘Praying For Rain’ which is a track that truly allows her soaring vocal to shine like never before whilst also showcasing her immense songwriting talent.
Having been sonically influenced by the likes of Johnny Cash, The Eagles, and Carrie Underwood her sound offers a fine balance between the old-school country stylistic and the modern-day pop crossover styles we’re used to hearing across many radio stations over the world, making her music very much a blended soundscape.
Speaking about her latest offering, Charlotte Young says: “After such an exciting year I am really looking forward to releasing my brand new single. I wanted to show my love for a power ballad and hope that everyone enjoys something that incorporates familiarity but with something new and my own spin on love and loss…”
The brilliant track has been inspired by the hit TV show One Tree Hill, making it a unique offering different from anything the current crop of rising Brit artists are sharing. Speaking about that inspiration, Young adds: “I wanted to write something from the perspective of one of the characters…I know how upsetting it can be during a breakup and rewrote the verses into a story”.
