Emma and Jolie Announce Debut Single ‘I Don’t Need A Man’
Fast-rising British country crossover duo Emma and Jolie are set to become the countries latest breakout stars and follow in the footsteps of the likes of Ward Thomas, The Shires, The Adelaides, and Twinnie in taking UK country across the globe and showcasing it as a hugely talented market.
The pair consisting of Emma Walker, and Jolie Harvey will officially arrive on the ever-growing scene this Friday (July 10th) with the release of their impressive debut single ‘I Don’t Need A Man’ via Triple Fret Entertainment. The empowering anthem was recorded with the legendary producer Johnny Douglas (Tina Turner, George Michael and was penned in Music City; Nashville alongside renowned singer/songwriter and frequent collaborator, Emily Hackett.
The two best friends have been making music together for several years after meeting in college five years ago and officially became a country-pop music duo last year. Since deciding to embark on a musical career together in 2019 the women have been writing non-stop and were quickly snapped up by Triple Fret Entertainment for a management deal that looks set to kick-start them on the road to major success.
Speaking about their forthcoming and much-anticpted debut single ‘I Don’t Need A Man’, one half of the duo, Emma says: ”There’s this big misconception that you can only have everything you want in life when you get a dream man and a dream relationship and it’s just not true. You don’t need a Prince Charming to come and sweep you off your feet like you see in Disney movies, so we wanted to write this song to say that you can be your own happy ending.”
Since they began their burgeoning careers as country stars, Emma and Jolie have quickly racked up a number of fans with their listenership continuing to grow day-on-day. Having performed at various showcases across the UK throughout 2019, even taking to the stage at Song Suffragettes during CMA Awards week in Nashville they are destined for a huge breakout 2020 and a long lustrous career.
