EXCLUSIVE: Allison Asarch Talks New Single ‘Summer Style’

On-the-rise country music talent Allison Asarch recently wowed with the release of her latest feel-good hit ‘Summer Style’ which sees her delivering a sun-drenched smash that showcases her effortless vocal control, and impressive songwriting talent putting her on the map as “the next big thing”.

Here we chat exclusively with Allison Asarch to discuss the track further:

Congratulations on the release of your latest single. How have you found the overall response so far?
Thank you so much!! I’m so excited about this song!! It has been fun to see people love it as well and adding it to their summer playlists.  I think it will become a staple summer song for sure.

Who have you worked with to bring this vision to life?
I co-wrote this song with Andi Renfree & Raymy Krumrei back in January 2020. We wrote this song about the excitement of summer. When the pandemic hit, we knew now more than ever that this song needed to be released! Ren Renfree produced it and added some really great Beach Boys, Portugal The Man, and BeeGee’s vibes to the song.  It brought the whole song together!

Can you tell us a little about the writing and recording experience for this track?
I had a BLAST recording this song!! Andi and Ren really helped me in the studio envision myself being on the beach or sitting by the pool.  I feel like you can tell I’m smiling from ear to ear throughout the song.

What are you hoping listeners take away from the lyrical story?
With this song, I feel like the lyrics are specific images you can see come to life while listening.  The unveiling of summer images hopefully gets you excited to be out in the sun and hanging out with your friends.

How have you found the process of sharing new music during this time?
Covid decided to arrive when I (and many other artists) was really about to hit the ground running.  I was just starting to play around Nashville and was getting my foot in the door.  I had to rethink my whole brand, how I was going to connect with fans, and how I was going to release music.  Fall of 2020 was when I released my first song, “Taylor Made,” and I had a lot of people rooting for me and loved it!  “Summer Style” is my 4th release since then and I think each song has hit people differently…which I love! I enjoy the chance to release music that isn’t all the same.  I like being able to find myself as an artist and this past year has definitely been the year for that.

Do you have any set goals in mind for this release?
Let’s manifest this… maybe make a really cool TikTok trend with the song! I released the music video on June 10th, so I’d love for people to take some ideas from that and show me their summer style!

Can we expect this single to act as a launchpad for a full-length project?
You could say that there will be a lot more singles to look forward to for the rest of the year!

Looking ahead, what else can we expect from you this year? 
I am excited to start playing out monthly and then eventually weekly in Nashville! I also will be doing many giveaways throughout 2021 and introducing some really cute merch as well!!
