EXCLUSIVE: Helena Mace Talks New Release ‘Snowfall’
With Christmas fast approaching, British country-influenced singer/songwriter Helena Mace is getting into the festive spirit with her latest offering titled ‘Snowfall’ with the single delivering a little magic this holiday season – the track has been sent to radio so you’re likely to be hearing it a lot in the coming weeks.
Here we chat exclusively with Helena Mace to discuss the track further:
You’ve recently released your festive single to radio, how’s the response been so far?
The new track has just been sent to numerous radio shows in time for their Christmas playlists and the response has been amazing so far. It’s looking to get a lot of airplay from mid-November.
What was the driving force behind wanting to share this track at this time?
I felt that we had all had a difficult 18 months and last Christmas people were kept away from their families. Snowfall is a warm, wintery number which I hope will make people cosy this Christmas. The full song hasn’t been released yet but it will be on 29th November with a wintery video to accompany it.
Who have you worked with on this release?
The song was written by myself and all vocals and guitar are mine but I worked with my usual producer, Matt Black from Hangover Hill studios in Dorset who also plays the piano on the song.
Can you give us a little insight into what your promotional plans are for this track in the build-up to Christmas?
Snowfall will be out on pre-order on 15th November and the full release is the 29th of November in time for the Christmas festivities. There will be a video as well as some live performances. I also have last years Christmas album, In the Spirit of Christmas that will be sent to the radio again, consisting of some originals and covers.
Do you have any set goals in mind for the single?
I just hope people enjoy it and play it for years to come and it will take them to a cosy winters night at home or with family and keep them warm inside.
As we head into 2022, what do you have in store for the next twelve months?
2022 is a big year for me. I will be releasing a new album in the summer and a sequel to the Christmas album in Dec 22. I am hoping to release yet another new single early 2022 which will be announced after Christmas. I also have a fairly full gig diary so I am looking forward to more performances around the UK.
