EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Jeorgia Rose talks New Deluxe Album ‘Blooming (Where She’s Planted)’

On-the-rise British country artist Jeorgia Rose is making some serious waves with her new line-dance trend for her latest single ‘Boots Back’, which features on the deluxe version of her debut album ‘Blooming (Where She’s Planted)’. Here we chat exclusively with the singer/songwriter to discuss the record.

Thank you so much! I’m honestly over the moon to finally share the deluxe edition of my album Blooming (Where She’s Planted) with everyone. This project has been such a journey for me; it’s my debut album, so it will always hold a really special place in my heart. Being able to add a few more chapters to the story with the deluxe edition just feels like the perfect way to wrap up this era. I’m so proud of it!

The response has been amazing, and honestly, a little bit surreal at times. The UK country fans are some of the most loyal and passionate people, and I feel so lucky to be growing within a scene that’s constantly expanding and evolving. It’s always a bit scary putting out a song, or in this case an album, because part of you worries nobody will like it, but honestly,y from the release of the original album to now, I’ve felt so supported and encouraged.

It sounds dramatic, but playing C2C this year was a dream come true; it’s literally been on my bucket list since I started. Being able to stand on the stages at that festival and share my music with such a passionate audience was honestly one of the best moments of my career so far. Also, just being around all those amazing artists was so inspiring. It gave me such a boost of motivation and reminded me why I do what I do.

Boots Back has been such a fun one to release! It’s based on a true story about somebody close to me who broke up with her ex but was way more upset about leaving her boots behind than the actual breakup itself, which I just thought was a great angle for a song. People have really connected with the humour and the attitude behind it, and the energy it has created has been amazing!

So much fun! I wanted to create something interactive that people could really get involved in, other than just singing the song, and this felt like the perfect song to do just that. Seeing videos people have made to the song and them putting their own spin on it has been so exciting and cool for me to watch.

I hope listeners come away from Blooming feeling like they’ve been on a journey. Each song kind of tells a different story in my eyes, and I worked really hard to try and make every song about something different, whilst still trying to make it all cohesive. This album tells stories of growth, heartbreak, friendship, independence and honestly just all the ups and downs along the way when you’re just trying to figure out who you are. Whether people are dancing around the living room to these songs or crying in the car, I just hope they feel seen in whatever they’re going through, that’s all I’ve truly ever wanted to do for somebody.

I honestly try not to set any specific goals for releases just because, as an independent artist, sometimes you don’t always get what you hoped for, and in this case, I just wanted to sit and be proud of myself and everyone who has helped this project come to life. However, having said that, it did feel really special seeing how many people were connecting with the new songs and also still enjoying the original ones. I think my main goal at the moment is just to continue building my fanbase and connecting with more listeners, especially through live shows. I’d love for the deluxe to reach new ears and open up even more opportunities to tour, maybe collaborate and just keep evolving as an artist.

The rest of 2025 is already shaping up to be exciting. I feel that it has been and will continue to be a big year of growth for me, both personally and artistically. I have a Nashville trip planned, a few more festivals, I’m planning more live shows and I’m already working on new music! Performing live is one of me favourite parts of being an artist, so getting out there and connecting with fans in person is a big priority.
There’s still a lot I want to achieve, and I’m going into the rest of 2025 with open arms and big dreams. I’m just really grateful for how far things have come and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
