EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Tyler Halverson Chats Backstage @ C2C Festival 2025
Following on from the recent release of his latest EP ‘Western Amerijuana (Pt. 2) country artist Tyler Halverson made his way across the pond to perform at his very first C2C Festival in London at the O2 Arena, and the fans loved it just as much as he did. Music and Tour News were lucky enough to catch up with Tyler shortly after one of his sets.
Hi Tyler, we wanted to start off by asking how are you finding your first C2C experience here in London?
Oh, I’m liking it. It’s been quick, it’s all back to back to back and then go do it again somewhere else. It’s good though.
How have you been finding the fans’ reaction to your sound in England?
I think it’s great cos everyone is quiet, everyone’s listening. There’s a lot of that and everyone’s receptive towards what’s going on.
So, is there anyone in particular you’re excited about seeing during your time at C2C?
I’m hoping I can catch some of the main shows in the arena to see Dierks [Bentley] and CoJo [Cody Johnson].
And are you looking to connect with any of your fellow artists while you’re here re writes and collaborations?
I feel like you just run into friends you haven’t seen in a while which is kinda what all this is.
How would you sum up your London experience in a few words?
Y’all are busy here. There’s a lot going on.
Moving away from C2C, we wanted to say congratulations on the new EP being released last year. How have found that experience so far?
Well, thank you, thank you. I think it’s been good, we’ve just been playing it everywhere around the country and then we actually just cut ten more songs so hopefully, this year is busy again like that.
Out of those new songs is there one in particular that you’re most excited to share?
I think there’s a couple on there. There’s one called ‘More Harps Than Horses’ and there’s one called ‘Smoke You Out’ which I’m pretty excited about.
Along with the upcoming music you also have a track on the Twisters soundtrack, tell us a little more about how that came about?
That came about with the record label that I was with at the time. They were putting together a whole bunch of songs and we wound up lucky enough wind up on that thing.
How did you find the whole experience?
It was definitely different. We just ripped a song off a record and put it onto that one so there’s a little bit of a hole on the record but it was fun.
And you’re going back on the road when you get back to America too, any city in particular that you’re most excited about heading to?
Yeah, we stay on the road all the time. Texas likes us a lot so we love them back so we try to stay down there quite a bit.
So, you do a lot of touring, how do you manage to stay calm whilst on the road so much?
I don’t know, if you know tell me haha. You go to bed about 2 or 3 am and then wake up and drive and do it all again.
Can we expect to see you back over here soon?
I hope so. I think that was the whole point of this. Come over solo, play some songs, plant some seeds and see what we can grow out of it.
One last question before we let you go. What is your message for your UK fans?
Come out and have fun, see what you think of Western Marijuana music.
