EXCLUSIVE: Jack and Tim Talk New Single ‘Church On Sunday’

With the country music scene continuing to grow worldwide and with a particular appetite for the genre growing in the UK, British duo Jack and Tim are creating a strong fanbase for success on the British Isles. Their latest single ‘Church On Sunday’ further allows them to reach new listeners.

Here we chat exclusively with the father and son duo to discuss the track and more – due to some announcements yet to be made by Jack and Tim this is a shorter interview than usual but we hope you still enjoy.

Congratulations on the new release. How have you found the response so far?

Great! it’s been added to Curated Spotify Country Playlists and hundreds of others, there’s also a limited run of personally signed CDs that are flying off the shelves. We’ve also had a great response to the official video on YouTube where we have a great audience.

How have you found the process of creating and releasing music as independent British country artists in the UK?

This part of the music business is one of the best parts for us, we really love the process of writing recording and producing, and all its headaches twists and turns along the way!

Can you tell us a little about the process for this release?

Church On Sunday was written in Nashville, we had a rough sketch of a song that we mapped out about a year ago, and when we met our good friend Mike Greco we knew between us we’d nail the lyric. We tracked the song at Omnisound in Music Row and brought in a backline of amazing musicians. Tim Denbo on Bass, Skylar Wilson on Keys & Kenny Chesney’s Drummer Sean Paddock, Jack (was of course) on the guitar, and I (Tim) was producing in the control room. I think we did 3 passes of the song and that was that. We also tracked the vocals in Studio B at Omnisound and finished the mix and master at our Studio in the UK. It was a really fun session

Looking ahead what does the rest of 2023 hold for you?

Well, as we speak we are back in Nashville TN till the end of November, having meetings and making music, We do have some very big announcements to make before Christmas, but for now we’ll have to keep you guessing. But more music is coming that’s for sure 🙂
