I sat down with my co-writer Bryan Dawley — who I’ve known for years — and we were just catching up on life for a while. It just kinda fell out that I wish it was all I wanted — to do one or the other instead of trying to have both. That would make life a lot easier. His eyes got really big and he said ‘that’s what we have to write“.
