Jack And Tim Announce New Single ‘Stand’
Father-son duo Jack and Tim have formally announced details of their brand new single ‘Stand’ which is the first taste of their forthcoming EP which is scheduled for release this summer. The emotive song has been inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and is a real statement from the country music artists.
Originally an acoustic demo the official single version came about after the Britain’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer act were inspired by the moving scenes from around the world which have seen millions of people taking to the streets to show support for Black Lives Matter, and to fight for true equality across all sectors.
Speaking about their latest single ‘Stand’ which will be dropping on Friday, July 3rd, Jack and Tim say: “The song was originally an acoustic demo that we felt compelled to write following the recent Black Lives Matter marches around the world, and the lyrics depict a fictional story of a man battling for answers in a troubled world”.
The song is an emotionally charged stripped back ballad that is softly accompanied by luscious guitar strings, the simple production backdrop allows for the sublime harmonies of Jack and Tim to really shine whilst also allowing for the inspirational lyrics to truly come to life as the duo make a “stand” for real change.
It’s a stunning offering from the country crossover pair who have quickly become an integral part of the ever-growing UK country scene and this is, without doubt, their best offering to date. Not only is a timely release it is also very much needed. As two white males, they have shown that they stand shoulder to shoulder with their Black brothers and sisters and are vocally anti-racist.
