Multi-talented singer/songwriter and actor J.T. Hodges has showcases his immense lyrical sensibility and soaring vocal with his emotive new single titled ‘Sandman’ which has been inspired by Hurrican Dorian which devasted the Bahamas last year with the track bringing to life the struggles the island are still going through today.

The single which dropped on the one year anniversary of the natural disaster looks to remind the listener that the vibrant community of the Abacos, Bahamas is still in desperate need of assistance with relief efforts still very much in demand twelve months on from the hurricane that caused mass destruction to the stunning island.

Meanwhile, the official ‘Sandman’ music video looks to highlight both the destruction of the natural disaster and the glorious beauty of the island. While the added addition of local Bahamian musician, Stumpy’s, vocals, and traditional Goombay style drums to the track beautifully illustrates the island’s culture.

The visual has been co-directed by Hodges and Cristy Nielsen and is filmed in a pop-up style to not only show but also tell viewers the story of “Sandman” and the relief efforts including Team Ghosts, a privately funded grassroots movement who have been on the ground in the Abacos since Dorian hit.

‘Sandman’ is a stunning song that perfectly brings the message of hope and unity to life while J.T. Hodges, and Stumpy come together to create a fantastic vocal overlay that drives the sonic sound into brilliant new avenues of country crossover styles that delivers a simply great track.
