Jess Thristan Releases New Single ‘The One Thing’

This past New Music Friday saw a whole host of incredible country music talent releasing outstanding music and one of those artists sharing an epic single was fast-rising British crossover sensation Jess Thristan who dropped her impressive single titled ‘The One Thing’ which has quickly become a major fan favourite.

Having been writing music since she was just 15, Jess is an accomplished lyricist who is able to easily convey thoughtful messages through her music and effortlessly brings stories to life thanks to her standout songwriting skills, whilst her powerhouse vocals make her one of the most talented and exciting artists currently on the ever-growing UK scene.

And with this latest offering which was co-written with Jessica Sharman (Ward Thomas, Sarah Darling) she shines a light on female empowerment and thanks to the simple piano backdrop the inspiring lyrical message is able to come to the forefront and take centre stage while Jess Thristan emphasizes her breathtaking vocal control.

Speaking about the writing session for her newest release to BCMA, Jess Thristan said: “We had a few sessions together before we sat down to write The One Thing and I remember we actually wrote it almost in two halves. We had the framework of the song from our first session together and then we got back in the studio a few months later to finish it off. We both knew it had something special, and I think we were both feeling like we wanted to emphasize female empowerment in this song. I remember us both being so excited about the story of the song and what it stood for. It just fell out of both of us”.

‘The One Thing’ is a majorly impressive standout release from Jess that feels like the true start of her career and gives a little glimpse into the longevity she has the power to create as an artist. She is an all-rounder who can do it all and isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve. Thristan is a multi-talented performer and this track kicks-off a huge new era for the country-pop sensation.
