Kate Ellis Announces New Single ‘Wonderland’
Americana/country artist Kate Ellis releases the third official single off her forthcoming new album project on Friday, October 15th with the inspired ‘Wonderland’ delivering yet another delicious taste of what’s to come from the upcoming full-length record that is scheduled to drop next year.
The track is part of a truly brilliant and unique collaboration with contemporary visual artist Geraldine van Heemstra and a group of sustainability non-profits who together are using the power of music, art and nature to inspire change around the world and allow others to feel connected with Earth.
Through the ‘Wonderland’ project, Kate Ellis is aiming to give a musical voice to the environmental rallying call to action for urgent government action in order to protect and sustain our planet at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in November – it’s a fantastic way to grow awareness.
Speaking about her latest single, singer/songwriter Kate Ellis states: โWonderland’ is about how perceiving nature in a viscerally connected way gives us a deeper appreciation of it and a deeper sense of loss for what weโre putting at risk. Geraldineโs artwork is the perfect visual expression of the song.โ
Artist Geraldine van Heemstra adds: โMy work is inspired by intangibility and emotion in the shape, sound, and movement of the natural world. What attracted me immediately to this collaboration is how Kateโs beautiful music communicates the powerful emotional connection we have to nature. We are both responding instinctively to changing colours and patterns of the intangible natural world that is speaking through us in different mediums.โ
