Every Monday evening we are thrilled to bring you our chosen Song Of The Week in partnership with the amazing folk over at live music promotion company Modern Age Music Roots and we are delighted to confirm that this weeks single comes from the wonderful Darcey Hope with ‘Hold On’.
The rising talent arrives on the scene with a fantastically constructed debut offering that delivers a striking mid-tempo soundscape that incorporates country and pop whilst putting the spotlight on her dynamic vocal tone – this is a truly brilliant inaugural track that sets a marker for what’s to come.
The stellar release has been expertly produced by Gary Dillon who has done a super job of crafting a sonic backdrop that includes elements from pop, folk, and country styles whilst giving Darcey Hope the room to breathe as a vocalist – this is a song that has the potential to break multiple genre markets.
Lyrically, ‘Hold On’ tells the story of the highs and lows and the struggle of trying to maintain true love during a long-distance relationship.
