Kelsey Bovey Announces New Single ‘I Found Me’
On-the-rise British country-pop singer/songwriter Kelsey Bovey has a unique ability for being able to create songs that instantly connect with young people across the world thanks to her standout lyrical stories that focus on what people are feeling and the issues they are dealing with.
And it is largely down to that youthful vibe that runs deep throughout her musical offerings that has made her one of the UK’s leading lights as she pushes towards global chart success whilst pushing on towards a natural maturing sonic sound that is happening organically right now.
And as her lyrical and soundscape matures, Kelsey Bovey is ready to take another large step toward becoming one of country-pop’s most revered artists. and that goal will move one step forward on Friday, November 27th when she shares her brand new single titled ‘I Found Me’.
Speaking about her forthcoming release, Kelsey Bovey says: “Hearing this song develop throughout the process from writing to producing has already been an exciting journey and it’s only just begun. During the pandemic, there have been so many influential releases which have
shaped my songwriting but Lauren Alaina’s ‘Getting Over Him’ EP as a whole was a big inspiration, to write and produce this song the way we did. The idea of being free is so important to me and it’s very relatable to others. I find this a way of letting go of everything and I really wanted this to be captured. Writing with Danny McMahon is always a breath of fresh air, the quality of his work is second to none and I never walk away disappointed. Puzzle Maker Studios have captured my sound perfectly once again and I can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve created”.
Whilst co-writer Danny McMahon adds: “When writing ‘I Found Me’ with Kelsey, we spoke about creating something that celebrated a sense of freedom and getting to a point in a young person’s life where you feel you’re making steps in the right direction. We wanted to achieve this lyrically and with the production of the final song. I think Kelsey captures a perfect blend of innocence and empowerment in this song, which is what I believe makes her such a great artist”
It’s a song that will no doubt strike a chord with many people, especially Millennials as they begin to step out into unchartered waters and begin new chapters. The feeling of truly finding yourself is indescribable and the lyrical story weaved throughout this track somehow manages to capture that essence of excitement and nervousness perfectly.
