Kevin McGuire Releases Enrique Iglesias Cover ‘Escape’

On-the-rise Scottish country music talent Kevin McGuire has quickly become one of the UK’s most loved singer/songwriters thanks to his grit filled vocal tone that is reminiscent of some of America’s biggest male acts, and standout songwriting skill. He is a special talent and his star is only continuing to rise.

Having already shared a brilliant EP, and several hit singles he has now begun to pick up support from industry insiders and radio execs as he effortlessly pushes sonic boundaries to create a soundscape that is uniquely his own. He isn’t afraid to combine US and Brit country styles, which makes him a real standout on the UK scene.

And as his global reach continues to grow, Kevin McGuire has once again wowed his listeners this time with a truly gorgeous cover of Enrique Iglesias’ 2002 smash-hit ‘Escape’. McGuire has taken the pop anthem and reimagined it beautifully as a country track totally putting his own spin on it.

Speaking about the release, Kevin says: “I don’t normally officially release covers but ‘Escape’ is one of the songs of my childhood. An incredible pop song that I wanted to make my own, whilst staying true to my country music background! I just want people to fall in love with the song all over again like I did as a kid when Enrique released it back in 2002. I believe this song is a sleeping giant, and people gotta hear it again.”

Kevin McGuire has done an amazing job of making the song his own as he delivers a stunning vocal as he strips the song of its powerful pop production and drives it into acoustic territory allowing for it to become a country music classic. It is a wonderful offering from McGuire and one that will no doubt win him a lot of new fans.
