Laura Oakes Announces New Single ‘Old Ghosts – Acoustic’
Back in March Liverpudlian country music singer/songwriter shared her eagerly awaited debut EP ‘How Big Is Your World’, a record that was filled with stunning country tracks that set a marker for the Brit performer as she continues to rise up the ranks within the British crossover scene.
The project has since been a followed up with a series of stunning stripped back renditions of the songs featured on the standout tracklist with the title-track being shared as an acoustic offering back in late September with the offering being a hugely impressive one that allowed for the singer/songwriter to truly let her vocal shine.
And now the UK artist has announced that on Friday, October 9th she will be taking another track off the ‘How Big Is Your World’ EP and reimagining it into a stunning acoustic setting with ‘Old Ghosts’ being the next single to be shared which is sure to be another stellar release from the rising star.
Confirming the exciting news across her growing social media channels alongside the track’s official single artwork, country music sensation Laura Oakes said: “This acoustic version of Old Ghosts has taken on a totally different feel and mood and I can’t wait for you to hear it!!”
Oakes is one of the most exciting voices to be emerging from the ever-growing UK country music market and with this gorgeous pared-back release of ‘Old Ghosts’ next week she is sure to see her star rise even further as she once again showcases her incredible vocal control and brilliant songwriting skill.
