LIVE REVIEW: Sam Palladio @ The Omeara

On Monday, September 30 on a cold and wet night in London, Sam Palladio brought his electric Before We Lost The Light Tour to The Omeara for a sold-out curtain closer on the run of dates in support of his newly released debut album ‘The Perfect Summer’s Day, Before We Lost The Light’.

Well known for playing Gunnar Scott on the TV series Nashville between 2012-2018 it was refreshing to see the curtain pulled back on Sam Palladio, and see his true artistry shine through without the backdrop of a character and to hear his own songs and voice through the words he has written.

Wearing a gold suit, Palladio was the epitome of a star. He is a born performer and entertainer and in that packed room at The Omeara, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand as he rattled through sombre ballads, electrified big hitters and some of those classic Nashville gems that propelled him to fame.

Oozing confidence and charm Sam Palladio delivered a smooth headline performance that offered a mix of pop icon Harry Styles’ natural charm and stage presence and the quirky uniqueness of growing country artist Sam Williams – he is an all-rounder and a true legend in the making.

This felt like one of those nights that will be talked about many years down the line when Sam Palladio is headlining and selling out huge arenas worldwide. His infectious blend of rock, pop and country creates a dazzling soundscape that elevates him above the current crop of cross-genre performers.
