LIVE REVIEW: Twinnie @ Bath Festival FInale

Live music is back!! In one of the first full-scale festivals since Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions were lifted across England, York singer/songwriter Twinnie wowed the packed Bath crowd on the last day of this year’s Bath Festival Finale weekend (August 8th) held at the cities Recreation Ground.

Taking to the stage in the late afternoon sunshine, the country-pop performer showcased her electric on-stage presence with a barnstorming set of some of her biggest hits taken off her breakout 2020 debut album ‘Hollywood Gypsy’ with the audience loving every minute of her anthemic set.

In a demonstration of her vocal prowess and outstanding performance skill, Twinnie rattled through some of her most well-known fan favourites including ‘Type Of Girl’, ‘Feeling Of Falling’, ‘Hollywood Gypsy’, and ‘Better When I’m Drunk’ all of which were enthusiastically sung-a-long to by the Bath crowd.

A master at getting the audience to participate in mass sing-a-longs, Twinnie had the festival crowd in full voice on several occasions with particular highlights coming during her brilliant covers of the classic hits ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’, and ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’.

Accompanied by musicians Joel, and Thom on guitar and keyboard, Twinnie gave fans a small taste of what to expect from her forthcoming headline UK tour which kicks off in Leeds on September 9th and wraps in Bristol on the 18th – with a whole host of dates pencilled in, in between.

The London based award-winning artist is one of Britain’s most entertaining and polished live performers and she shone a light on her effortless vocal, and charm with her truly excellent performance on the main stage that came to a close with her singing the breathtaking ballad ‘Lie To Me’ which showcased her stunning tone and left the crowd wanting more.
