LIVE REVIEW: Twinnie @ Lipstick Lounge Nashville

On Tuesday night (June 7th) UK pop-country crossover performer Twinnie arrived in Nashville for the first of a string of live shows in Music City; Nashville with her taking to the stage at the LGBTQIA+ bar Lipstick Lounge for an epic four-track set that allowed her the opportunity to win many new fans.

Most people in the room were just discovering her for the first time and there was electric energy as she belted out tracks from her new ‘Welcome to the Club’ EP including the title track, ‘One Heart’ and ‘Something or Somebody’ alongside her always anthemic ‘Better When I’m Drunk.

There is always something that feels like pure magic that happens when the multi-talented English singer/songwriter performs live and in that intimate, packed setting she was able to thrive with a live showcase that showcased that Brits can do pop-country just as well as the Americans.

For her performance of the inclusivity anthem ‘Welcome to the Club’ Twinnie was joined on stage by the brilliant country music hitmaker Brady Allen Riley who added further star quality and killer vocals to the mix making it a major standout moment of not just Twinnie’s set but the whole night too.

Twinnie is without a doubt one of Britain’s most talented vocalists and all-round performers and her gig at Lipstick Lounge proved that in abundance, this was the first of many live gigs lined up in Nashville for the rising star including two shows at CMA Fest on Saturday and Sunday, and a gig at The Listening Room Cafe on June 20th alongside several more.
