LIVE REVIEW: Ward Thomas @ St George’s Church – Brighton
Last night (Saturday, November 27th) British country-pop duo Ward Thomas brought their incredible intimate, acoustic tour to the gorgeous St George’s Church venue in the heart of Brighton where they delivered a spine-tingling vocal performance for the crowd who had held onto their tickets since May 2020.
The twin sisters are truly phenomenal live and having seen them in concert multiple times since they arrived onto the scene it’s safe to say that their stage presence has grown considerably in the past few years and their confidence too making them one of the very best acts to see play a gig from any genre.
Last night they had the Brighton crowd in the palm of their hands as they rattled through hits from their four stellar albums with plenty of fan favourites thrown in including two mass sing-alongs for ‘I Believe In You’, and ‘Carry You Home’ resulting in rapturous applause that ended in a standing ovation for the twins.

Ward Thomas have a breathtaking vocal harmony that was evident throughout yesterday evening especially on ‘Cartwheels’, and ‘Safe’ there is something divine about hearing their voices in a church setting – they are two of the most talented singer/songwriters the UK has ever produced and that was proven in abundance in Brighton.
This tour has been a long time coming following multiple postponements due to COVID restrictions but the wait was more than worth it. Catherine and Lizzy are down-to-earth, charming, relatable and insanely talented and this performance at St George’s was mind-blowingly good from the pair.
