Back in July of this year, fast-rising country music singer/songwriter Lizzie Cates shared her outstanding new single titled ‘I Like The Way’ with the track delivering a gorgeous sonic blend of uptempo melodies, and overlayed with fun lyrics making it one of the very best releases of summer 2020.

And as the success of the track continues to build, Cates has now shared the official music video for the track which perfectly offers a stunning cinematic visual perfectly bringing the upbeat track to life which allows Cates the opportunity to create a whole new dimension for the song.

The shoot sees Lizzie Cates dancing her way through the streets of New York City as the nightlife takes over which evokes colourful imagery of that heady feeling of falling in love, letting your guard down, and risk-taking which can often feel like an adventure and be just as scary as moving to a new city.

Speaking about the video, Lizzie says: “I knew I wanted this to be a fun, upbeat love song. I love to write songs in metaphors. At the time, I had a huge fascination with New York City and loved the idea of how terrifying but intriguing and beautiful it is at the same time. I thought that was a great comparison to first falling in love with someone”.
