Lydia Sutherland Releases Debut Single ‘Love Me’
At just 22 years old, on-the-rise singer/songwriter Lydia Sutherland is showcasing an incredible vocal, and songwriting maturity with her impressive debut single titled ‘Love Me’ which is available to download and stream right now across all leading global digital platforms.
The powerful pop-country tune is all about self-acceptance and finding the ability to truly love yourself and overcoming any personal struggles after finding, and falling in love with someone who 100 percent accepts you for who you truly are without looking to change or mold you into somebody else.
It’s an introspective, and mature theme for the young country musician and one that shows she is able to look within when creating hits. To craft the lyrical story, Lydia Sutherland teamed up with Chris Yurchuck, Spencer Clarke, and Justin Kudding, whilst Spencer Cheyne and Justin Kudding co-produced the anthem.
It is an excellent upbeat pop crossover hit that takes listeners on a journey of self-discovery and self-love, knowing that falling for the right person can allow you the ability to truly accept yourself when all too often we are self-critical whilst telling others that it’s okay to not be okay.
Speaking about the track, Lydia Sutherland says: “I chose to release ‘Love Me’ as my first single because of my personal struggle with self-love. My whole life has been a series of wishing I was someone else and judging myself for the things I couldn’t necessarily change. Looking back now, I wish I had someone to look up to, relate to, and learn from. Someone to remind me that everything I was experiencing was completely normal. I’ve come a long way but I still don’t have it all figured out, my only hope is whoever is going through similar struggles as me will want to come along for the ride so we can figure it out together”.
