Phillipa Cookman Announces New Single ‘Tell Me’
Fresh from releasing her brilliant debut single ‘Greasy Mabel’ earlier this summer with the track being a re-working of her dad Brian Cookman’s hit, offering a brilliant new take on the original whilst retaining the magic of the first cut Phillipa arrived on to the country the scene in style.
The track is lifted off Phillipa Cookman’s forthcoming debut full-length album which is titled ‘Cookman’ and is slated for release this November. The highly-anticipated project will feature a selection of her father’s classics in brand new arrangements which were all recorded during lockdown.
And as the build-up to the LP continues, Phillipa has announced that on Friday, September 11th she will be sharing a brand new single off the impressive upcoming tracklist. ‘Tell Me’ is set to further put Cookman on the map as “one to watch” as she shares yet another stellar offering.
Speaking about her latest release off her upcoming album which will drop later this Autumn fast-rising singer/songwriter Philippa Cookman stated: “Tell Me is a love song where the protagonist is pleading for their lover to be honest with them and commit. “Keep your love away unless it’s real…”
As she continues on the promo trail for her inaugural full-length record, Cookman is continuously showcasing her impressive vocal prowess as she delivers a gorgeous vocal display once again that sets her apart from the current crop of artists arriving onto the scene at this moment in time.
