Scotty McCreery Releases New Single ‘Why You Gotta Be Like That’

American country music sensation Scotty McCreery is back with another taste of his forthcoming fifth studio album with the second official single to be lifted off the album’s tracklist – ‘Why You Gotta Be Like That’ shows yet another side to the record and shines a light on his evolving soundscape.

The track which has been co-penned by Scotty alongside James McNair, and Jordan Schmidt tells the story of how the US star falls deeper in love with his wife every time he lays eyes on her and was inspired by one of their date nights where she walked into the room and once again left her husband in awe of her beauty.

It is a sweet and heartfelt track that shows the soft side of Scotty McCreery’s heart giving him the opportunity to put his pure love for his beloved other half in song whilst delivering a classic country vibe at the same time making it instantly connectable for his ever-growing global listenership

Speaking about the single, McCreery says: “My wife Gabi and I had a date night the evening before I wrote ‘Why You Gotta Be Like That’ with James and Jordan. She came downstairs looking gorgeous as usual, and well…the song tells the rest of the story. Writing with James and Jordan is always so much fun, and I think that genuine feeling comes through in the song as well.”

It is an excellent release from the multi-talented singer/songwriter that delivers a delightful taste of what fans can expect from his upcoming collection which is due to drop later in the year with the tracklist promising to be one of the most impressive of the year so far within the country genre.
